Costa Mesa, CA – Had one of the most gratifying experiences this week when I stepped into "The Orphanage" in Costa Mesa, California. The brand new adoption center was neat and clean. I was there to drop off donations and to donate my time.
The kennels housed a few dogs. When I walked in, all the dogs leaped in excitement eager to go outdoors despite the rain.
Next I visited the cats in the room where they stretched leisurely, jumped around and rubbed their face against me. As I reached out and petted each one, they showed their gratitude by purring or rolling over in pleasure.
I made a silent vow to visit these animals in need of homes when I have free time and am not scheduled to walk dogs for various clients. If you love animals, I highly recommend walking, petting, fostering or adopting these dogs and cats in need of forever homes.
The Orphanage in Costa Mesa is located on 1536 Newport Blvd. The facility is situated adjacent to Newport Mesa Animal Hospital. For hours of operation and further information about the nonprofit pet rescue called Priceless Pets, go to their website at pricelesspetrescue.org.
